Sports entertainment levels up in Circuit Makati

Circuit Makati is touted as the city’s entertainment district and promises a fine place to live in, where “something amazing is always on.” With the launch of Ayala Land’s Solstice and Circuit Makati’s three new sports facilities, it is set to redefine the urban landscape.

Jan. 15, 2014, Circuit Makati made its mark as the new active lifestyle destination with the launch of the Gatorade-Chelsea Blue Pitch, Citykart Racing, and Mountain Dew Skatepark.

Gatorade-Chelsea Blue Pitch

The ceremonial kick was facilitated by The Azkals, led by the Younghusband brothers and Gatorade brand ambassador Chieffy Caligdong. The Blue Pitch, in partnership with the Chelsea Football Club Soccer School Philippines and Pepsi, occupies 10,000 sq.m. of Circuit Makati and is the first FIFA-sized blue football field in the country and is poised to be a training venue for both amateur clubs and national teams.  Football clinics will also be conducted by the Younghusband Football Academy.

Citykart Racing

For those who are in for some Formula One racing, Circuit Makati has a 5,000-sq.m. urban karting area operated by Urban Karting Manila. The 650-meter karting race track that utilizes a Formula One timing system offers fun karts and pro-karts, as well as powerful karts for more professional or daring drivers. A prop shop where racers can purchase gear and accessories, as well as lounge around, is also in place.

Mountain Dew Skate Park

Perhaps the most unique facility at Circuit Makati, it is the first skatepark in the country with a 1,000-sq.m. skate area operated by WeLegendary and designed by Flux Design Labs and ASEA. Skate enthusiasts of varying skills can execute their flips and grinds at the urban skating facility’s three levels: beginner, intermediate, and professional.

With all these offerings, Circuit Makati is definitely a step closer to fulfilling its vision of becoming the city’s entertainment district.

In the Circuit Makati loop

Circuit Makati is a 21-hectare masterplanned entertainment district  representing P20B of Ayala Land’s ambitious P60B investment in Makati. It includes residential, retail, office, and hotel developments complemented by sports facilities and entertainment components.

Circuit Makati will have three anchor entertainment venues within its mixed-use masterplan. Circuit Lane will be a spectacular interactive retail riverwalk that will run through the vibrant core of Circuit Makati. Animated by boutique stores, dining destinations, pop-up shops, and vibrant street-level performances, the Circuit Lane welcomes  its visitors with new “funtertainment” concepts and an enhanced shopping experience.

Right across the Circuit Lane will be a new lifestyle center that features more retail options, restaurants, and cinemas, as well a world-class 1,200-seater indoor events hall, dubbed the Circuit Performing Arts Theater that will soon be home to various prestigious shows, acts, and productions.

From the boardwalk views lie The Globe Circuit Event Grounds, which is a 2,000-square-meter canopy area with an extended outdoor venue for large-scale social events, festivals, and international-scale concerts that can house up to 10,000 spectators that will soon be home to various prestigious shows, acts, and productions. The developments will also feature a 250-room Seda hotel.

Solstice in the city

Circuit Makati , a 20-year project, is building its way into becoming the address of choice.

Keeping up with Alveo Land’s positioning as the developer for upwardly mobile individuals, professionals, executives, and starting-out couples, it offers Solstice, its benchmark for innovation.  Strategically located within the new masterplanned entertainment district, Solstice is set to take full advantage of the grand vision of Ayala Land’s Circuit Makati. Tower One will be 41 stories high and will provide 461 residential units in a complete range of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.

Recently, the 37-story Solstice Tower Two was launched exclusively to the Singapore market at the Marina Bay Sands, offering spacious studio units offering one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. “Solstice Tower Two will be the pinnacle of expression for the dynamic and vibrant living experience that Circuit Makati espouses,” says Alveo Land president Robert Lao. “This condo community is our best foot forward, so to speak, in making people appreciate the reality of our vision of an innovative and multi-faceted new way of city living.”

“Solstice will provide the perfect home for Circuit Makati’s future residents—one that is literally a leisurely stroll from the action, and that will enable its homeowners to live and feel the energy of the bustling district from a comfortable and pleasing vantage point right above it all,” enthuses Lao.

Avida Land to pioneer Vertis North’s residential block

A city would not be recognized as one unless it represents the country’s epicenter of trade and culture, wherein business, commercial, lifestyle and residential expediencies come together. For decades, the urban hubs developed by Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) across the Philippines are mirroring these components.

“We are committed to developing Vertis North as the central business district for Quezon City. Ayala Land’s best practices in the development of Makati and Bonifacio Global City will similarly be implemented in Vertis North. It has the unique advantage of being the gateway to the North for Metro Manila and is today a major transport and retail hub,” ALI president and CEO Tony T. Aquino said.

Vertis North, which is located in the center of Quezon City, is one of ALI’s latest projects to date.  Although the company has had presence in Quezon City for a long time, its fervent commitment in solidifying the city’s primacy is clearly an unremitting process. The development of residential areas like Ayala Heights Townhomes, Ferndale Villas and Avida Towers New Manila, as well as leasing establishments like the UP-Ayala Technohub and Trinoma Mall, has defined their presence.

Eyeing completion in 10 years time, Vertis North is touted to become the newest city center in the area. When the masterplan was introduced last year, office, retail, hotel, and residential facets were unveiled—which all translate how the 30-hectare integrated urban redevelopment aims to become the major gateway to dynamic and progressive living in the north.

With residential developments being a vital component in the fruition of ALI’s vision for Vertis North, one of the company’s notable residential units — Avida Land — has expressed its involvement in fulfilling this  aspect of the  business district through Avida Towers Vita.

“This will be the pioneering residential development that will break ground in Vertis North,” said Raquel Cruz, Avida Land assistant vice president. “Avida Towers Vita will literally mark the beginning of the city center’s vision of further enlivening the urbanity present in Quezon City. Likewise, the project addresses the needs of young professionals and starting families who want to own their very first home that is centrally-located and highly accessible.”

Given that Vertis North will soon house commercial and lifestyle establishments, and is typically situated in the convergence point of commuter rail lines and three major road arteries particularly Epifanio delos Santos Ave. (EDSA), North Avenue and Quezon Ave., the ease of urban living is no longer a question. Hence, the studio units, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom units coupled with amenities that Avida Towers Vita will offer are all set to provide ideal living spaces right at the heart of Quezon City’s newest city center.

“Vertis North in the soonest time will become a major hub converging enterprise, functionality and convenience in a setting that will bolster urban living in Quezon City. And we, at Avida, are more than glad to become the first ones to showcase the district’s urban promise,” said Cruz.
